Technology assessment

Cloud and DevOps maturity audit

A defined assessment to turn uncertainty into an ordered set of decisions.

Who this helps

Organisations whose delivery speed or operating risk is limited by pipelines, environments and platform practices.

The decision it supports

Which platform and delivery changes unlock safer, faster change.

Within the agreed boundary

We examine the systems, records, processes and operating practices inside the scope you approve before work starts. Access and data-handling terms are agreed first.

How the assessment runs

Discovery

Confirm objectives, boundary, stakeholders and available evidence.

Review

Inspect configurations, interfaces, data or operating practice within scope.

Analysis

Prioritise findings by business impact and effort.

Readout

Walk through the report and remediation plan with your team (two hours).

What you receive

Pipeline and release-process assessment

Reviews how change moves from commit to production.

Infrastructure-as-code coverage and drift analysis

Checks how much of the estate is defined as code and where drift accumulates.

Environment parity and secrets handling review

Examines environment differences and how secrets are managed.

DORA baseline where data exists (deploy frequency, lead time, change-failure rate, MTTR)

Baselines delivery performance metrics where evidence is available.

Resilience, backup and DR verification

Checks recovery assumptions against what is actually tested.

Access and security posture

Reviews access patterns and operating security practice within scope.

Prioritised remediation plan with effort estimates

Orders remediation by impact and effort for planning.

Access and participation

A named decision owner, an agreed system boundary, relevant documentation and approved access. Stakeholder time for interviews and the readout is required. We agree data handling and confidentiality before reviewing client information.

Assumptions that affect duration and price

The published duration is indicative. Estate size, access delays and stakeholder availability can change the calendar. The fee and completion date are confirmed in writing before work begins — they are not the same as the indicative day count.

What is excluded

This is a technical assessment, not a legal opinion or a compliance certification. It does not include remediation build unless you commission that separately.

After the findings

Findings are prioritised by business impact and effort. You can use them with your internal team, another partner or Nervescape. The next step is your decision.

Start with clarity.

What would make your business easier to run?

Tell us the operational challenge. We will discuss whether a short conversation, a scoped assessment or a delivery engagement is the right next step.
